The history is a humble beginning of Restoran Darussalam Curry House in Subang, Selangor serving Nasi Kandar Cuisine in the year 1991 by Dato’ Haji Mohamed Nijamudeen Bin Ibrahim. Later in 20th February 2002, Dato’ have decided to incorporate the business as Private Limited Company under the banner of Restoran Darussalam Sdn. Bhd.
Nasi Kandar Cuisine is the result of the fusion of Indian Cooking with Malaysian ingredients, which occurred due to the extensive Indian immigration to Penang Straits. The Indian Muslim community has spread this distinctive fusion cuisine throughout Malaysia, from Penang to Johor.
After 22 years of fine-tuning, product development and loads of hard work, we have what you see today. As of 2016, we have ten (10) restaurant outlets (under the name of Restoran Darussalam, Dapur Thai Tomyam & Zara Bistro). We currently serve over 30,000 customers a week.
Between year 2010 to 2015 were a busy years for us. Not only did we begin with an aggressive expansion in Food and Beverage Industry, but we also come with new idea and spirit to open Retail Market called Pasaraya Darussalam Sdn. Bhd.
Our stores stocked more than 40,000 items from health and beauty aids to household merchandise; small appliances, hardware and auto accessories; magazines, paper products, groceries, frozen foods, fresh items, school & office supplies, and seasonal merchandise,
From day one, our objective has been to deliver high quality goods at a great value to our customers, low prices, outstanding customer service and broad based product lines are at the heart of Parasaya Darussalam‘s growth and success.
As at May 2016, we have established four (4) mini market outlets in Putrajaya and one (1) in Serdang Selangor. The company also expects to announce further expansion within the year.
